SBA were involved in the planning process in regards to the party-wall awards for the project, which were quite complex. We organised pre-start design meetings, as well as general planning and program scheduled meetings.

 

 

 

 

 

The site was a former tyre service garage and within the boundary's were spill tanks as well as other contaminates. The toughest thing about the build process is that because it was such a tight site, no matter what task you undertook, you would get land-locked. Due to the complexities of the party-wall awards, we could not get permission to have a tower crane of any type. This meant that we had to build the rear 2 units first via a mobile crane, followed by the front 2 units via a hoist and manpower. It was a difficult build but we got it done. The clients are getting the benefits of our efforts as the units are currently on the market for £3 million each. This will be a great profit for the clients, and a good endorsement for SBA Ltd that we can achieve that kind of standard.
